It feels like only yesterday that I sat down at my (new, Viennese) desk in 2017 and wrote down a few study tips. Little did I know I'd still be doing this 7 years, 80+ issues later and have no less fun.

I started publishing this monthly letter because it is my passion to help people learn English in an easy, fun, and engaging way. Learning should feel like a hobby, a privilege you allow yourself to enjoy during your busy every-day lives. Rather than an additional task on your to-do list I want it to become an internal part of your day, a habit you create and when you do find the five minutes to study you don't realise you're learning. Because it should be like the cup of coffee (or the multiple cups of coffee) that easily found their way into your packed schedule, too. They managed to do that, didn’t they? Or the time you automatically set aside for reading during your holiday. You don't think about it because it is a part of your life.

You may have already guessed: I don't believe that one can ever truly be done with learning. Learning is a life-long process. That is one of the things I love about it. We grow and learn. And if I have managed to make learning English at least a little bit more enjoyable, interesting or doable, if I've inspired you to start your own vocabulary collection, taught you an interesting new phrase or motivated you to wrap your head around podcasts or phrasal verbs, I feel I've done my job.

Ever since I was a child, I've always loved creating things, doesn't matter if it's knitting, crocheting, mixing different types of dough in the kitchen or (once I got older) creating e-learning material in the form of videos, worksheets or handouts. It's still the same feeling of rush I felt when I was little, drawing with coloured pencils. I'm not sure if the work found me or I found it but what I do know is that I love it.

Enjoy! And remember: study just a little bit each day.
